Empowering Veterans Through Surf and Cycle Therapy

Specifically for Defence Force veterans, offering a unique path to recovery and growth through Surf Therapy—including surfboard shaping and surf lessons—or Cycle Therapy—featuring bicycle building and riding lessons. By combining hands-on learning with proven therapeutic approaches, the program supports veterans as they transition to life after service.

Participants receive personalised mentorship, develop practical new skills, and engage in activities that foster resilience, creativity, and emotional well-being. The initiative also strengthens community connection, helping veterans rebuild confidence and a renewed sense of purpose alongside peers who understand their journey.

With the backing of respected industry leaders, this program creates a powerful space for veterans to learn, heal, and thrive—both on land and in the water.

BENEFITS OF RIDERZ WORKSHOPS WITH DEFENCE FORCE TRANSITION PROGRAMS.

Build Confidence

Discovering your strength and abilities can empower you to take on challenges beyond the workshops, translating to confidence in professional, social, and personal situations.

By promoting physical activity, creative expression, emotional health, Riderz offers a holistic approach to assist veterans in reclaiming their sense of purpose, confidence, and vitality whilst learning new skills.

Boost Your Mood

Physical activity through Surfing or Bicycle Riding has been shown to enhance brain function and concentration, resulting in improved decision-making and an increased sense of control over one’s life.

Any Physical activity releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. A positive mental state can contribute significantly to overall self-confidence.

Increase Energy Levels

Regular exercise can lead to noticeable changes in energy and fitness levels, helping you feel more comfortable and confident in your own skin. Leading to a greater sense of resilience and confidence in facing other life challenges.
